Cultivator of Human Potential | Listener of Needs | Companion in your Journey

Melissa Rank, LPCC, ACC, EMDR-Trained

Melissa listens first and counsels second. She specializes in anxiety, trauma, and substance abuse. Melissa focuses on what happened in the past which may be impacting the present. She uses a combination of Choice Theory, REBT (Rational Emotive Behavior Therapy), Existential, CBT, and DBT during sessions to empower the client to live the life they imagine. Melissa is EMDR trained and will offer this as an option when seeking to process painful life events.

Melissa seeks to understand you and your goals for therapy. She will take time and meet you at your pace to find out what you want to change first. Empathy is at the core of her practice which leads the way for you to feel at ease sharing areas that may seem stuck. Melissa will show up for you and believe in you, until you believe in yourself.

Melissa’s passion is to help individuals achieve their highest version of themselves. Her focus is helping clients understand how unmet needs from the past impact the present while cultivating their true identity. She believes that it is not how others view you, but what you think of yourself that matters. Let’s work together to begin visualizing the life that you want to live.

In her downtime, you can find her doing aerial yoga, martial arts, juicing, hiking, cooking, or keeping up with her twin boys. While the ocean is her most favorite place to be, the mountains will do for now.
