EMDR & Somatic Therapy​​​

Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing (EMDR) therapy is one of the few therapies endorsed to treat trauma by the American Psychiatric Association, WorldHealth Organization, Veterans Affairs (VA), and US Dept. of Health & Human Services. Highly effective, yet needs to be used appropriately and not too soon, with clients with complex- and early-traumas.

Somatic interventions are gentle, yet powerful and can be combined with or without EMDR. Utilizing felt sense, movements, nervous system, embodiment, and energy systems to heal Body | Mind | Heart.

DBT Therapy​​​

Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) is an empirically validated and widely popular cognitive approach that incorporates skills training and individual therapy to help clients increase motivation, manage stress, regulate emotional experiences and decrease unwanted behaviors.

IFS Therapy​​

Internal Family Systems (IFS) is a  holistic and powerful therapy based on the latest science that supports the multiplicity and complexity of the brain and the psyche. We all have parts of self, or states of consciousness, with roles that help us function in society and that protect us defensively. However, when we feel overwhelmed these parts become more extreme, and when trauma history was repetitive, parts feel more and more separate from our sense of self.

IFS therapy is a gentle approach that heals us from the inside out, accessing the client's inner world and bringing balance and deep healing. Finding your true sense of self and leading from within. ​

Attachment Therapy​​

Specializing in working with individual's that have been fostered, adopted, or abandoned from family of origin in some way.  Additionally, I work with the families that foster or adopt these children, teens, and adults. There is a need for understanding disorganized attachmentdissociation, and trauma to re-organize attachment systems into a healthy secure attachment.

In addition, I work with those that are experiencing anxious and/or avoidant attachment in relationships and want to develop and move into more secure attachment.

Therapeutic Impact

Radical Healing! We desperately need an expanded view of trauma, as it simply comes from distressing experiences that stay unresolved. These painful memories become neurologically frozen in time, thus creating dysfunctional patterns that hold in Body, Mind, and Heart. We ALL benefit from resolution. Let's begin the journey of healing trauma symptoms, such as: overwhelming emotions, intrusive and distressing thoughts, mood disturbances, debilitating anxiety, panic attacks, body image issues, low self-worth, bingeing, purging, substance abuse, self-harm, self-destructive behaviors, anger outbursts, suicidal thoughts and/or attempts, avoidance, shutting down, numbing out feelings, compulsive rituals, hoarding, unresolved grief, lashing out, relationship difficulties and more.

Healing is not about just taking away 'unwanted behaviors', rather it is about healing what led to them in the first place. As we heal the nervous system, and essentially the mind, body, and heart, the extreme coping strategies are no longer necessary, and the unwanted symptoms dissolve. This opens us to a greater sense of presence and wellbeing.
